A sailmaker by trade, Wenzel knew heavy fabrics and improved durability and performance without compromising quality were important. Advances in materials and technology have made tents lighter and easier to assemble, but his vision and standard of quality remains to this day.
Wenzel strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible. All of their sleeping bags are made with recycled fiber-fill, and they recycle virtually all waste, which saves tons of materials from going into landfills.
Wenzel is proud of their well-established Social Responsibility Program, having instituted their Code of Conduct in 1995. They expect dignity and ethical treatment of all factory employees who produce their products.
